CellPointer

CellPointer is a lightweight Microsoft Excel add-in for Windows designed to help users keep track of their position in large worksheets. It displays a customizable row-and-column crosshair around the active cell, making it easier to follow long rows and columns during data entry and review. Unlike solutions based on cell formatting or conditional formatting, CellPointer uses an overlay and does not modify the workbook's original formatting. Users can turn the crosshair on or off from the Excel ribbon and customize its color and transparency. CellPointer also supports column descriptions to provide additional context while working with large tables. It supports Microsoft Excel 2019 and Microsoft 365 for Windows.
